I need some ideas for what i can do with this thing so i don't get showed up this summer... any more lol

Be honest with ya dude, I started with the same thing back in highschool. Your best bet is going to be save up some money and swap a motor in. You are going to be kicking a dead horse trying to pull a few horsepower out of that motor.

It's sad to say but you really won't get much out of the current engine you have. Back when that car came out the emissions and computers for cars were being forced down the manufacturers throats and it was a quick scramble to comply. It was all new stuff back then.
Your best option if the car is solid and a good foundation to build on is a 5.3 LS based engine. They can be had really cheap and are easy to swap in. You can find engine and trans combos including the computer for around $700-$1000 complete. Since there were millions of vehicles with that set up in them they are everywhere. Thirdgen.org is your best place to research what you can do and what needs to be done to do the swap. It would be money well spent.
